Masala crab (waikhu) fry recipe!! © by MICHAEL SINGH KARAM

Hello Real Manipuris,
As an exotic food lover; please feel free to comment and critiques on this recipe:
To serve 3 with steamed rice or paratha or roti or chapati.
Ingredients:
1) Crab (waikhu) ----- 1/2 kg or 800 grams
2) 2 medium-sized onions (finely chopped)
3) 3 whole cloves of garlic
4) 1 small knob of ginger
5) 3 small to medium sized tomatoes (finely chopped)
6) 1 lemon
7) Few green chillies (optional)
8) Fresh spring onions (finely chopped)
9) Bay leaf
10) 2/3 cinnamon sticks
11) 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
12) 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder (optional)
13) 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
14) 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of cumin powder
15) Vegetable cooking oil (sunflower oil)
16) Salt (to taste)
Methods:
1) First heat the oil in a pan.
2) Put in the bay leaf and the cinnamon sticks
3) Fry the onions, garlic & ginger till it becomes brownish
4) Add the haldi or turmeric
5) Add the coriander, cumin & chilli powder
6) Stir fry the above ingredients and add some water to avoid the stickiness to the pan.
7) Now, make it a nice & groovy pasture of sauce.
8) Once it is nicely done; put the chopped spring onions.
9) Simmer fry for about 8 to 10 mins.
10) It's time to add the main ingredients: crab or waikhu.
11) Cook in low flame for another 25 to 30 mins.
12) Add little water with regular intervals to avoid sticking to the PAN.
13) Voila, masala Crab fry is done.
